Join us for an insightful tech talk where we delve into the latest enhancements with Freddy Copilot for Developers. This session is designed to help you learn how to migrate your existing v2.2 apps to v2.3 and how developers can leverage the Freddy Copilot toolkit to build modular apps across the platform. We will also cover the new ‘App Settings’ feature, which helps developers configure app credentials without hard-coding them into the app.

Q&A:
Q: How is it actually being uploaded in that particular account’s developer portal?
A: The app has the metadata stored. When Freddy Copilot publishes an app, it stores the app ID and uses that to upload the app in the same account inferred from the Freddy API key.
Q: How do we use the app_settings in serverless methods? I get it how it is used in onSettingsUpdate method directly args.param_name
A: We can access the app settings via “args.app_settings”.
Q: Will validation and packing the application still require a iparams.json file?
A: Yes, It is still required for all the apps.
Q: In the Custom Installation page can we use getConfig() function to get the information from App Settings as well?
A: No. App settings can only be used in the Request Method and in Serverless event handlers.
Q: For what’s upcoming - Any work being directed to allowing applications to be developed using other technologies (programming languages)?
A: For now, no plans on the roadmap for Serverless. We are working on making frontend development with React framework. No timelines yet.
