CSS / Chat - Canned Response - data not displaying?

I have noticed that the place holder data does not display in the CCS / Chat like it does in FreshDesk app. I assume this is NOT intentional.

We need to be able to review the data placeholder test before the email is sent otherwise there could be errors in the data!

Is this in the current roadmap to be fixed?
Please make the products work consistent across your services as this has caused us issues before.
