Issue/Query related to the limit of results returned for Filter Contacts/Companies API

We have identified in the API documentation that the freshdesk “Filter Contacts” API (Freshdesk) & the “Filter Companies” API, only returns a maximum of 300 contacts which we believe will not be sufficient for for our custom app as the volume of total contacts that need to be displayed would be in the thousands’ range.

We see that the filter APIs are currently in beta, so would the stable version return more results?
If not, then how do we handle such an API limitation?
