Issue: Exceeding API Consultation Limits in Custom Freshdesk App for SugarCRM Integration

Context & Challenge

We have developed a custom Freshdesk App that integrates with SugarCRM via a widget, allowing our customer service and sales agents to view a 360° customer profile directly within Freshdesk.

The app functions well, but we are encountering a major limitation:

  • We are exceeding the Freshdesk API consultation limits, which is restricting the number of requests our app can make to SugarCRM.
  • The proposed solution is to increase the API request limit within Freshworks.
  • However, we are unable to do so because we do not have Freshworks developer credentials to request an increase in API limits.

Questions for the Community**

  1. How can we request an increase in API request limits for our Freshdesk App without having Freshworks dev credentials?
  2. Is there an alternative approach to optimize API calls to prevent exceeding the limits?
  3. Does Freshworks provide a way to monitor and manage API usage for a custom app?
