Issue with ?dev=true – App Not Rendering Locally

Hi everyone,

I’m currently facing an issue with development mode (?dev=true) in Freshdesk. My app is not appearing locally, even though it was working earlier. This issue seems to have started today.

Has anyone encountered this before or knows how to resolve it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Yes this is failing from today morning .

We are seeing the below error in console:

(blocked:csp)

http://localhost:10001/iframe/api/
strict-origin-when-cross-origin

Same issue startgin today

Same issue.

Any Solutiion

Hey

just updated to 10.0.1 - Same issue after the update.

Tom

Downgraded to 10.0.0 - npm install https://cdn.freshdev.io/fdk/v10.0.0.tgz -g

Still not rendering - So unrelated to the update.

Same here - no local testing possible.

Same issue here. This definitely needs attention since it’s affecting multiple users.

Hi Folks,

I’m also facing a similar issue. @Pavan_Gudiwada can you help us?

Hi All,

I acknowledge and understand the concern here. We have noted this behaviour. This is an issue happen to be with the Freshdesk placeholders.

Only for Freshdesk apps placeholders for local testing are not rendering properly with the iframe API being blocked with CORS error via CSP. For other products such as Freshservice, Freshsales Suite, Freshcaller etc, it is working fine. Appears to be an issue with the latest changes released on the Freshdesk side. It is being actively looked at, and we shall keep you posted on the next steps being taken to fix this.

We shall address this ASAP.

Meanwhile, we appreciate your patience and support.

Regards,
Thakur

Oh god so happy I stumbled upon this topic. Spent 3-4 hours to find out what was wrong while building my first Freshdesk app, thought I was turning nuts. Would be nice to display some kind of warning in the developer documentation in case of a major issue like this…

FYI: enabling this plugin can circumvent the CSP warnings and so you can continue local dev testing: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/disable-content-security/ieelmcmcagommplceebfedjlakkhpden

So any update? This is terrible communication and handling. We also wasted hours on this bug.
